Aaron D. Hose : Biography

Aaron HoseAaron Hose was born in the United States to Hispanic parents, and raised on the Caribbean island of Aruba. Building from his strong multicultural background, coupled with a solid technical and creative foundation, Mr. Hose has, since 1999, produced several corporate and non-profit film and video projects, ranging from fundraiser events and public service announcements, to interactive training series and documentary films. A graduate from the Valencia Film Technology Program, Mr. Hose also earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal and Cinema Studies from the University of Central Florida.

In spring 2003, Mr. Hose produced and directed "The Groveland Four," an acclaimed short documentary which introduced the riveting story of four African-American boys wrongfully accused and persecuted in Groveland, Florida, in 1949. The film was screened at film festivals across the United States, and was most recently featured during the "Brown, Black, and White" 50th anniversary commemoration events held at the University of Central Florida in 2005. "Groveland" is currently being developed into a feature-length documentary which will serve as the inaugural project for "The Groveland Four Foundation," established to promote equality and justice through film and literature.

During the fall of 2004, Mr. Hose acted as co-director and producer of the marketing campaign for the first annual "Indigenous Heritage Festival," sponsored by ATAYAL, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to the worldwide awareness and preservation of the indigenous tribes of Taiwan. The IHF, an international gathering of tribal groups, showcased films, art, and world-class performances from Asia, Africa, and the United States.

Mr. Hose is currently in the post-production stages of "Voices in the Clouds," a feature-length documentary produced and directed in Taiwan under the aegis of ATAYAL, Inc. The film tells the inspiring story of an Asian-American man on a journey back to his homeland in search of his late mother's spirit and a deeper connection with his heritage. "Voices" is slated for the festival circuit by the spring of 2007.

While in Taiwan, Mr. Hose also photographed many of the indigenous people he encountered. The first series of photos, "Time in a Disappearing World," premiered on Walt Disney World property in May 2005, and has since been exhibited as corporate art for Fortune 500 companies within the Central Florida Research Park, with more exhibitions scheduled for galleries throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean in 2006.
